The Representation of Men.

MEN'S VOGUE represents men as very powerful. They tend to use pictures of well known and credited male celebrities. This image of Will Smith makes him look very powerful and dominant. They do this through the clothing he is wearing, as he looks very business-like and sophisticated, and this reflects how professional he is as an actor, and also in keeps with the fact that vogue is a high end magazine. The black coat makes him look powerful and the colours of his clothing also fit in with the colour of the text used on this front cover. The coat also makes him look like he is covering up something and this links to one of the tagline that says 'power marriage...fatherhood and saving the world..again', this plays on the roles he has played in films as well as aiding the main image in which makes him look powerful and almost like a superhero. The blue background is quite soft which contrasts with the masculine black fonts used for the text. The fact that some of the text is also gold shows that the magazine is high end as gold is quite a rich colour and you associate gold things as being expensive. The lighting used on the image of Will Smith is quite soft and looks quite natural. This along with the blue background makes it loo as if they have taken this photograph of his outside and as though the photograph isn't staged. by using these things men will be drawn into this magazine because they want to know what Will Smith does and how he does it, tis magazine appeals to upper class men who are maybe leo trying to achieve the same sort of success as Will Smith.

MEN'S HEALTH MAGAZINE represents men as muscular and eye candy for women. This representation of men makes them think that they need to look like this in order to get girls and if they buy this magazine, they will find out how to look like this. The colours used on this magazine are quite masculine reds, blues and blacks and the bold text also aids the fact that this magazine is aimed at men. However, the colours and fonts used contrast with the main image as the image and background are quite light and the big smile that the model is showing represents a kind of purity and also shows his happiness and confidence with the way he looks, and this is what other men want to achieve. His hair is perfect and his body language is quite relaxed almost as if the photograph hasn't been staged. The fact that this man is also not a celebrity also targets men as they can relate to this man and they will think that he got this body through doing the workouts in this magazine, rather than a personal trainer.

OK! MAGAZINE represents Steven Gerrard in a very good light, presenting him to be a family man that is very much involved in his family's life. The fact that this issue was out around christmas with a background of decorations also helps to aid our views of him, as christmas is very much a family time and he is obviously spending his time with his family. The colours used are mainly reds and yellows, these colours are typically associated with this magazine, but also link well with the christmas theme throughout this issue. His wife is wearing a red dress with connotes romance and also fits in with the christmas theme, and Steven is wearing a casual pair of jeans and jacket making his seem very down to earth. He has his children around him which also shows us that he is a family man that spends a lot of time with his children and his wife. The way they are sitting looks quite staged but the way they are smiling looks genuine, and as Steven Gerrard is a well credited footballer, it appeals to people because they want to read about his life and you don't often get an insight into footballer's lives away from the pitch.

The Representation of Women.

VOGUE magazine is a high end magazine that represents women as powerful and as role models. They often choose female celebrities in which the girls of this generation look up to and aspire to be like. The women on the cover often have good reputations and careers. Beyonce is a role model to many girls and the fact that she is alone on this cover shows that she is a strong and independent woman that young girls look up to. Beyonce is known for her talents and not how little she can wear. Vogue magazine often has female celebrities quite covered up wearing high end fashion, rather than using nudity to sell their magazines. The photograph of Beyonce uses soft lighting to portray her innocence and purity and the fact that she is wearing black and white which are quite plain colours, rather than vibrant clothing or barely any clothing, shows that she is quite down to earth and is inspirational. Her clothing also looks very business like and professional, reflecting herself and the fact that she is very professional in what she does.

SHAPE magazine shows female celebrities quite exposed, wearing only underwear or swimwear. This is to show how good they look and this will make girls want to buy the magazine because they want to know how they can look like that, and they think that if they buy this magazine then it will teach them how to get this body. Britney is a well known pop star, yet is not known for being innocent, unlike the connotations of the white swimwear that she is wearing. Britney is a very controversial celebrity that has battled with her weight many times, so this makes the readers think that if she can look this good than so can i. Britney's face looks airbrushed and the soft lighting makes her look innocent and almost perfect, making young girls believe and think that this is what they have to look like. The position in which she is standing also makes her look very confident about her body, and she is not covering any part of it with her arms etc, and this makes women think that they want to learn how to be this body confident.

NUTS magazine is a magazine geared towards men and it does this by using sexualised images of women and female celebrities to attract their attention. The image of Georgie Porter is very sexualised and the way that she is leaning down, does not only show more of her body, but it also makes her look more innocent and helpless, as though she needs a man to control her and tell her what to do. The lighting used makes her look flawless and this gives mean unrealistic perceptions about what real women's bodies look like. The lack of text may show how men do not buy these sorts of magazines to read the articles, but also the simplicity of the article titles almost stereotype men by making you think that they are simple so that men can understand them. Also, rather that saying 'TV's sexiest women' they have said 'TV's sexiest babes' and by using the word babes, this has almost degraded them straight away as sex objects rather than independent women.

CD Cover - Final Drafts.

My band's album cover.

This is my band's final cd cover draft. I based the front of this cd cover on the front cover of James Arthur's debut album cover. I used basic images with split lighting and i photographed Jordan and Tom who in which share a similar dress sense, which is also very much of a mod look so i thought that they would look good on this cd. I tried to make my background look like polaroid images and i thought that this would give it more of an old school feel.

CD Cover - Final Drafts.

My solo artist album cover.

This is my final draft for my solo artist album cover. I tried to give it an indie/urban feel and based my draft on Jake Bugg's debut album cover as i liked the simple layout and photographs used on that album, and i also liked the vintage feel given to it by the use of sepia tones on the photographs.

Proposal for pre-production.

What my idea's are...

For my pre-production final drafts, i am going to create one CD cover for an urban solo artist, and another CD cover for a new style mod band. I want to create my solo artist cover based on Jake Bugg's debut album cover, and i am going to base my band's album cover on James Arthurs album cover, and i am also going to try to incorporate elements from older mod albums.

I will be creating all of my pre-production on photoshop.

Taking my original photography.

I am taking my photographs of Jordan for my solo artist album cover, and then i will be taking photographs of Jordan and somebody else for my band's album cover.

I will be taking photographs of Jordan in the studio and in natural, outdoor urban setting, so that this reflects the style of music on the album. I will also be using the studio for my band's photographs and may use other outdoor settings. I will position my models in various different poses and experiment with different lighting and angles to see what looks most effective.

I will be using the studio for the majority of my photographs and will also be using outdoor settings for other photographs.

I will be taking my studio photographs mainly in lesson as i can then hire out the studio and a camera, and whatever photographs i do not manage to take in lessons, i can take in my free periods, or in my free time at weekends.

I am choosing to take photographs in the studio, as i think that i will be able to create a good use of lighting, and i also think that portraits look effective on the front of CD covers. Also, i am taking some outdoor photographs as i think that using natural and more urban settings will also reflect the urban feel of my album, as well as making it look more professional.

I have asked my models in advance so that i know that they will be available for me to take photographs of. I will be shooting my photographs in the most convenient times for both me and them, and i also have to arrange my shoot around what time i can use the studio etc, and i also have to shoot my outdoor photographs on days with good weather conditions.

CD Cover Drafts.

This is my draft based upon Jake Bugg's debut album cover. I want to create a CD cover for a country artist in which is similar to Jake Bugg. I based this on his original cover for his debut album, as i liked the simplicity of it, and liked the fact that the images were in sepia tones. I created this draft on photoshop, and experimented with the different colours and fonts to see which worked best. This draft is going to influence my final draft because i want to create a debut CD for a new country artist, and i want to base my image on this one of Jake Bugg by trying to capture the same setting, and i think that the natural lighting and setting makes it look effective. It gives him a bit of a background city and almost shows everyone where he comes from and that he's a city boy.

This is another draft based upon an Oasis album cover. For my second final draft, i want to create a CD cover for a new British band/duo that dress and look like people did in the MOD era. I experimented in photoshop with different fonts/colours and layouts and finally decided on this as i thought that the font looked most like the fonts used on other albums by Oasis and i used a basic picture and colour scheme as i thought that this would fit well if i made it into a 'very best of' album, because it was basic but effective. I am going to use this draft as inspirations for my final draft, as i think using a simple image such as this, would work really well. I also like the font used as it is quite bold and is similar to the font used in most other Oasis CD's, and this could work for my final draft as i want to create a CD cover for a band similar to Oasis and that would have a similar look and sound.

This is my third draft, which is actually based upon 'the vaccines' album cover, but i decided to create it with a picture of the band 'Of monsters and men', as i thought that this image worked well in this layout. I experimented on photoshop with different layouts and fonts and finally decided on this one as i thought that it looked most effective, the images are clear and simple and the writing stands out. I thought that this would by an option for my CD cover based on my solo artist, as i think that it stands out and is an effective and basic layout. The images used on the front and back cover link well together, yet are different, and the image on the back cover uses leading lines, almost leading you into the tracks that are on the CD. I think the font fitted in well with the whole layout and colour scheme, and i thought the idea of having a border around the main image on the front cover made the image stand out more.

Coursework-Textual Analysis.

CD Covers.

This Oasis album cover uses a simple picture with natural lighting. The image is just a simple one of two men walking past each other down a street, yet this is symbolic of the of the two men that make up the band Oasis. They have also used a slow shutter speed which allows us to see the movement of the two men walking. The fact that we don't know who these people are of where they are etc, may link to the title of the album (what's the story) morning glory? and this could show that we don't know what the story is behind these two people, but the songs on this album explain their story. The font used in the bands name is lower case but the white writing on the black-boxed background makes it stand out, and the fact that it is framed makes it seem like it is trying to make a statement.

This Jake Bugg album cover is very simple but effective. It is a simple picture of the artist himself. It is close up using a low aperture setting to create a shallow depth of field in which means that the buildings behind him are out of focus, making him stand out more in contrast to them. He isn't looking directly at the camera, but his expression and the direction he is looking, leads you into the picture and leaves a feeling of mystery surrounding him. He has his coat zipped up to show not only his style of clothing, but also how he might shield himself from others. The font is in black and bold capitals in which almost makes a statement about who he is. It is also underlined to emphasise it. The sepia filter used on this album makes it look a bit more antique and older, and this reflects the older type of country music that he sings.

This James Morrison album cover is effective but basic. He, like Jake Bugg, is also not looking directly at the camera and his expression and eyes are leading us into the picture. This cover also uses a low aperture setting to create a shallow depth of field, meaning that the artist stands out a lot more. His clothing is quite modern and the fact that he is sitting by himself on the side of the street almost makes us think that he is watching the world go by, an he is thinking about all of the things that are happening to him. This also fits in which the album title 'songs for you, truths for me' in which shows us that these songs are how he has expressed himself and how that this album is a release of his thoughts and feelings, and the fact that the image is of him sitting on the sidewalk may show how he is thinking about all of these things. The font used on his name is in capitals but is in a softer font than the Jake Bugg album title, this means it stands out but isn't as harsh or in your face as Jake Bugg's.

This Arctic Monkeys album cover uses a simple image and colours in an effective way. The image is of  single man smoking a cigarette, using a black and white filter. This image may show how this album is about not caring and being free. The man is smoking yet looks like he is slightly smiling, which may show how he is enjoying life and smoking makes his feel better, and smoking is usually used to calm people down and to make them feel chilled, and this may reflect how this bands music makes it's listeners feel.  The fact that he is wearing a plain white t-shirt also makes him stand out from the black background. The artist/album title is in an angle box that is white, and this contrasts and stand out from the background. The font of the artists name is in lower case and in quite a funky and cool font, which may reflect the band's style and music, as their music might be laid back and chilled, but quite fun listening too.

Male orientated magazine cover.

Car.

The masthead is in a large and bold font, also coloured grey with shows that this magazine is aimed towards a male audience.  The masthead is in lower case font which is quite bland and basic because it is obvious that this is the magazine you would buy if you wanted to look at cars, so they don't need it to stand out as much. We can also tell straight away that the magazine is about cars because it is called 'car'. We can also see a tagline which tells us that this magazine is the uk's best designed magazine.

The main image is of a very flashy car and this makes the whole of the front cover feel more sophisticated. It appeals to the target audience of men around the ages of 18-40 and due to the sophistication, men of a higher socio-economic status would be drawn into it. These are also the people that would be more likely to afford the cars shown in this magazine.

The cover lines use a capital, and very bold font all in very masculine colours which appeal to the target audience. They do not include a lot of writing, and there is not many of them, and this is used so that it doesn't distract from the main image. The main cover line is in capitals and is in a very masculine colour, and uses the same colour as the masthead, with contrasts with the bright red colour of the car to make it stand out even more. There is also a cover line at the bottom of the page, informing the reader of other cars that are featured in the magazine.

In comparison to Cosmopolitan, this magazine is very different, yet targets it's audience in the same way. For example, Cosmopolitan uses very feminine colours  such as pink's and purple's on it's masthead and cover lines, whereas, Cars uses masculine colours such as grey's and red's. Cars also doesn't have as many cover lines as Cosmopolitan, but both relate to topics that their target audience would be interested in. Cosmopolitan also uses a main image of a pop star, who in which is looking directly at the camera to draw in the audience, whereas, Cars is using an object to draw in their audience. In contrast to the male orientated magazine Cars, Cosmopolitan is a lot more of a gossip based magazine, whereas Cars is actually more facts based.

Female orientated magazine cover.

Cosmopolitan.

The masthead is slightly covered by the main image, and this shows that the Cosmopolitan brand of magazines is well known, so people will know what it is without having to see the full title. It is also in capitals and in a bright pink font, which attracts the female audince. The fact that it is in capitals also makes it stand out, even though it is partly covered by the main image.

The main image is of a well known singer, Mollie King from The Saturdays. She is well known and is relatable to people in the age bracket that this magazine is targeting. She is just an average girl, and is between the 18-30 age range that this magazine is targeting also. The main image of Mollie uses direct address, which means she is looking directly into the eyes of the people looking at the magazine cover, this draws them in. She is also seen to be blowing a kiss to the readers, as if she knows the readers and/or is friends with them. This and the clothes she is wearing also adds sex appeal, attracting men, so women will want to look like her. People reading this magazine will also be interested in her life and will want to know how she keeps fit, who she is dating etc.

The cover lines use very feminine pinks and reds, which are typical lipstick colours and show that this magazine is targeted at women. The cover lines are also about stories that people in this target audience would be interested in. For example, there is an article about loving your body and happy hair, and these are things that the target audience want to know about. The font used in the cover lines is also very feminine and sophisticated, and the main cover line is using a font in which looks like somebody has wrote it using lipstick, which appeals to the audience.

Big Stan - Visual, technical and audio codes.

Big Stan.

Visual codes:
At the start of this film we see a lot of men in suits and in judges robes with briefcases. This indicates to us that the first setting in this film is in a courtroom. This is also indicated through the serious facial expressions of the people in this scene, and this is typical of a courtroom setting, as nobody is going to be seen to be laughing etc. Some of the people in the courtroom also wear glasses, which we usually associate with intelligence, and lawyers/barristers and known to be intelligent.

Technical codes:
Mid shots are used to show the faces of those in the scene, along with a bit of the setting, and are also used to show who is talking. Long shots are used to allow the audience to establish setting, and in this case, we are then able to confirm that the setting is a courtroom. A bird's eye view shot is used to show one of the characters, who in which has just lost his court case, so this may indicate how he is now powerless and weak. Close up's are used when we want to see who is talking, and their facial expressions when they are talking, then we as an audience are able to know the emotions of the character.

Audio codes:
Diagetic narration is used at the start of the film, which helps to lead into the main content of the film. There is also a lot of non-diagetic music at the start of the film, and as it is upbeat, this almost sets the tone of the film as being a happy one, or makes us think that the film contains some comedy. Diagetic sound is used throughout when people are talking, and there is also a lot of diagetic background noise.

Bad Education - Visual, technical and audio codes.

Bad Education.

Visual codes:
In this sitcom, we see alot of different visual codes, all in which help us to establish what the show is about. For example, a lot of younger people are seen to be wearing the same school uniform, and the older people all tend to be wearing quite smart clothing, such as shirts, ties, suits, etc. So, we as an audience are able to tell that this show must be set in a school environment, with school pupils and teachers as the cast. We are able to tell the pupils from the teachers by what they are wearing, and these are the things that are typically associated with teachers/students. We then actually go on to see the setting. We can then confirm it is a school, by the typical school set out, and one scene is also in the staffroom in which teachers are known to go at breaks and lunch.

Technical codes:
There are a lot of mid and close up shots, in which allows us to see the particular persons body language and facial expressions. Mid shots also mean that the audience is able to start establishing the setting, and mid shots are used when two people are having a conversation, to show who is talking and also their facial expressions whilst talking. Long shots and extreme long shots are used to allow us to then fully establish the setting, therefore, we then definitely know that it is set in a school environment. These shots also show give us a better insight into the persons body language, and sometimes, it can be someones facial expressions or body language that actually make the audience laugh.

Audio codes:
We can hear a lot of diagetic sound throughout this show, for example, there is a lot of diagetic conversation between pupils and teachers, which is typical of a school setting. Diagetic sound is used a lot in this way, as there is frequent speech between pupils and teachers. Non-diagetic music is also played frequently through the show , particularly at the beginning credits, and throughout whenever the scene changes. This music fits in well with this programme because it is upbeat and makes people feel happy, this helps to achieve the purpose of this show, which is to make people laugh. People tend to watch these types of sitcoms because they want to cheer themselves up, feel happy and use it as an escapism from everyday stress, and the music along with the dialogue helps to achieve this.

Audience task.

Girlfriends.

Girlfriends is a television shows aimed at single women between the ages of 16 to 35. We can tell this by the girls featured in the show, as we know that single girls between these ages will be able to relate to them and their relationship problems etc. This programme meets the uses and gratifications of personal identity, entertainment and social integration.
This programme meets personal identity as the people watching are able to relate to the girls in the show, and therefore can identify themselves as the audience. This programme meets entertainment as it is quite humorous and is an escapism from everyday life. It entertains through the content of the show, and how people can laugh at the dodgy dates, and it also entertains through the catchy music that is in the background. We want to know these girls stories, and we are drawn into the show and have to watch on as we want to know who they choose etc.
This programme is constructed as it is clear that the show is put together to highlight the funny bits and the parts that their intended audience would want to see. The parts have been put together in this particular way on purpose, and the music that has been edited over is used to add to the entertainment of the show. This show in particular has been mediated so that we focus on certain aspects of the show, such as them going to the lads parents houses, and this allows us to make assumptions and to draw conclusions, such as letting us guess who they are going to pick in the end.

Uses and Gratifications - Social Integration.

Uses and gratifications are classified in four different categories.

The last being Social Integration.

The X Factor is a good example of how people watch television programmes for social integration. People tend to watch shows that their friends talk about at work/school, as they want to be involved in the conversation, and want to be included. The X Factor is a highly constructed show in the way that the show usually either shows the really good acts and their backstories, or the really bad acts. It is created this way on purpose as this gets people interested and it also adds entertainment value. People also watch this show as an escapism and tend to find the humour throughout as a release. This use and gratification is part of the two-step flow because, as i have previously mentioned, a more active audience watch this show and discuss it with each other, and will also be influenced by the opinions of others. So people bond by talking about the show, and tend to be influenced by the opinions of others about certain acts on the show etc.

Uses and Gratifications - Entertainment.

Uses and gratifications are classified in four different categories.

The third being Entertainment.

The big bang theory is a show in which was highly constructed to entertain it's audience. This programme does this by including a lot of witty humour, and representing different types of personalities/people through each character. This show entertains by providing an escapism from everyday life, as well as making people laugh along the way. This is a feel good programme, so many people that start to watch this programme, often continue because they like the show and they like the way that it makes them feel. It is an emotional release from everyday life and stress. The big bang theory follows the two-step flow. Which means that an active audience will discuss the media text and will be influenced by the opinions of others. This show often gains watchers by the fact that people talk about it, and word goes around about how funny it is and how good it makes you feel. So others then want to watch it.

Uses and Gratifications - Information.

Uses and gratifications are classified in four different categories.

The second being Information.

Information is given through many programmes. These types of programmes are usually informing people about the world or particular events etc.

Daybreak is a programme in which is used to inform. This news programme covers various stories and many people watch it to keep up to date with the latest news, either in everyday life or even celebrity news. This uses and gratifications category is part of moral panics, and this is where the media are placed in a position of becoming an agent of social control.
This often happens in three stages:
- An event occurs which generates media attention.
- Media organisations relate to this one event to wider social issues.
- Media coverage increases.
Daybreak often covers stories that they tend to continue coverage of. For example, daybreak covered the story of April Jones, and they continued to show coverage on this for several weeks. The only negative to this is that it has been proven that after repeated exposure, stories tend to have less impact on their audience.

Uses and Gratifications - Personal Identity.

Uses and gratifications are classified in four different catagories.

The first being Personal Identity.

Personal identity is when people can identify themselves as the audience for the particular form of media that they are watching/reading.

An example of a programme that represents personal identity is Hollyoaks. This is a part of people's  personal identity, as they feel that they can relate the story lines and characters within the show, to their own lives and the people in it. Hollyoaks covers a lot of drama and family issues in which people can relate to their own lives. People like the fact that they can interpret the story lines in many different ways and it is almost certain that it will reflect some part of their life in some way. People watch these sort of shows as an escapism from everyday life, yet it is just like watching their life on television, only more glamourised.

This category of uses and gratifications is a hypodermic needle. This meaning that the passive audience will become influenced with ideology. This is due to the fact the characters in this show are all seen to be either really pretty and slim, or really attractive and muscular and this gives people the impression that they have to look like this to fit in with society.
This is also part of two-step flow, which means that an active audience will discuss this media text, and will be influenced by the opinions of others when talking about it.

How sexuality is represented within the media.

The media shows people with a different sexuality using a variety of representations. Sexuality is often represented through characters in television shows or films etc.

The television programme Glee is one of the many television programmes seen to represent a character with a different sexuality. The character of Kurt in Glee is shown in a positive way. We see this through the fact that he isn't ashamed about how he feels. He also isn't afraid to hide what he is, and even when he is seen to be knocked down by the comments and opinions of others, he just rises above it. This character is a great representation of someone with a different sexuality, as it sets an example that being gay is ok, and is not chosen but is not something to be ashamed of. Kurt has a great network of friends that support him and is not afraid to talk about his feelings, and he even likes to make the situation humorous. He also likes to express himself through music and drama, but also breaks away from the usual stereotype of homosexual people.

How different races/religions are represented within the media.

Many forms of media tend to represent different races and religions, and these can be represented in a number of different ways.

The big bang theory, is one of many television shows the represents someone from a different religion/culture. This television programme contains a character from India called Raj. Raj is represented in both a positive and negative way. For example, he is negatively shown as a spoilt rich boy, as in many episodes he is seen to be talking about all of the money his family has, or how many butlers they have etc, and this means that he can come across in a negative and big headed way and  people then stereotype the whole religion as being this way. However, his character is shown in some positive ways as he is shown as intellectual and part of a very close friendship group, in which he is not an outcast in. He is also humorous and makes jokes about his religion, as well as allowing others to do the same. He and his jewish friend Howard both represent different races/religions within this show, and do so in quite a humorous way, although it could be seen as offensive to some people.

How gender is represented within the media.

The media shows lots of different representations of both genders within all types of media. Men and women are represented in all sorts of ways within everything that we watch or read etc.

Women and men are often used to create an image of 'perfection' to help sell a product etc. They are also portrayed in certain ways throughout films to help attract particular audiences. For example, Megan Fox is presented in quite a negative way in the transformers films. She is seen as a sex symbol and eye candy for the male audience, yet she is also seen to be clever. This gives women a false understanding of what a women should be, as seeing movies like this makes women think that they have to be skinny and be shown to be showing a bit of skin to get attention off men. As well as this, films like this give men a false understanding of what women should be like, as they then expect women to be like this. This is unfair, as this is not what women are like,  and this image and interpretation is purely created from the imagination of those creating these films. Women and men are made to be shown like this to attract audiences, yet inevitably it makes women believe that this is what people want to see in everyday life.

How different age groups are represented within the media.

The media shows a wide variety of age representations. Almost every programme represents an age group of some sort.

This video is an example of how the older generation is represented in a positive way. We can tell this because, the programme New Tricks, shows an group a group consisting of an older lady and three older men, that are police officers and they are seen to be doing everything that a younger police officer would do. The programme contains fast paced chase scenes, and as well as all of the action, the characters are quite humorous and fit. This contradicts to usual stereotypes of the older generation, in which show them as slow, unfit and almost boring in a way.

How different classes are represented within the media.

The media often shows different representations of classes, (e.g. upper, middle and lower) and they are shown in either a positive or negative way.
http://www.theguardian.com/science/2012/feb/27/upper-class-people-behave-selfishly

This article clearly represents upper class people in a negative way. We are able to tell this by the content of the article. For example it talks about how those in a higher social class are more likely to lie, cheat, and cut up other road users. This is said to be true as people have conducted research into unethical behaviour across the social classes. However, i think this is a very unfair representation from the media, as it ties everybody that is upper class with the same brush, and this is not necessarily the case. This is stereotyping the upper class as snobs that get away with everything etc, and this is how stereotypes are created. This goes for how people also tend to view lower class as violent and as people that rely solely on benefits from the government. What is also unfair is that, this research would have been conducted over a small amount upper class people, and just because those ones may have seen to be cutting people up, cheating or lying, everyone that is upper class is automatically assumed to be the same.

The last film i went to see at the cinema.

Hey! I'm new to blogging so bare with me... I thought to start i would talk about the latest film i went to see at the cinema. Now i'm not the biggest fan of horror films, as they scare the life out of me and leave me restless for at least a week, but as it was a friends birthday i agreed to go and watch The Conjuring with her. BIG MISTAKE. Don't get me wrong the sound/special effects in this film were awesome! I also loved the fact that you never knew what was coming, but it literally scared the life out of me! I don't want to give too much away because it's safe to say this film is a must see, so go and see it while you still can! Word of advice though, take a scarf to cover your eyes, because believe me, there are somethings i just wish i had not seen...
